About the work of Tailwaggers Club Trust
If you love dogs and cats and enjoy helping them, then please think about supporting the work of Tailwaggers Club Trust.
We are not just another dog and cat charity. Tailwaggers helps needy dog and cat owners in meeting the cost of veterinary bills. Often the need for help is a result of a change in circumstances: ill health; domestic situations; financial hardship or just simply a consequence of bad luck. To receive an unplanned veterinary bill, due to a pet’s serious accident or illness can be devastating to owners.
We are often the ONLY organisation that dog and cat owners can turn to when they are in distress about meeting the cost of unexpected veterinary bills. Sometimes this can, quite literally, make the difference between life and death of a beloved pet. Unlike other animal charities, Tailwaggers does not adhere to strict rules and regulations and reviews each referral on individual merits, which gives us greater flexibility in helping pet owners.
Where possible Tailwaggers also aims to help organisations in providing support for veterinary treatment to ease the suffering of abandoned dogs and cats.
“We are so grateful for the continuing support given by Tailwaggers Club Trust to help CHAT with its animal welfare work.” Celia Hammond of the Celia Hammond Animal Trust (CHAT).
Currrently, Tailwaggers can only afford to award grants of around £1,000 per month. In the last 10 years more than 1,700 grants have been issued to deserving cases – very often to pet owners unable to find help from other sources.
Tailwaggers relies solely on donations from the public. Tailwaggers would like to help even more people and their pets, but the amount of help we can give depends on the generosity of the donations the Trust receives. If the Trust had more funds, it could help even more deserving cases. PLEASE make a difference today by giving whatever donation you can afford – THANK YOU.
